How do I enroll?
You will need proof of residency, and the forms in the Enrollment Packet, including the DC Universal Health Certificate Form and the DC Oral Health Assessment Form. Instructions can be found here. New students will need a proof of age document such as a birth certificate or previous school record. While May 1st is the enrollment deadline for lottery matches, waitlist offers may require enrollment paperwork within a few days - so be ready!
This year, some schools are offering an Enrollment Saturday as a convenience for busy parents. Langley will be accepting enrollment paperwork at 101 T St. NE on Saturday, April 21 from 9 AM to 12 PM. Then walk over and join our Park Cleanup and Bike Parade at the Harry Thomas Rec Center park, adjacent to the school! We’ll be cleaning up all morning and the bike and scooter parade starts at 11:30!
What if I don’t match with any school?
Help, I’m super stressed!
It will be okay! Take some deep breaths. Keep an open mind—even if you are disappointed with your lottery result, you may like the school better as you learn more about it. Get to know the teachers and other families, and ask how you can help. If it’s not the right fit, next year is another chance. Give your kid a big hug and you’ll remember how lucky you already are.
