A: Yes, with a little luck! Langley usually has room for out-of-boundary students from Truxton Circle, Shaw, Edgewood, Brookland, Woodridge, NoMa, and everywhere else in DC. Our school facility is large and spacious, with room to grow.
A: Langley has an active Parent Teacher Student Association. Meet current the PTSA at LangleyPTA101@gmail.com.
Q: Does Langley offer before-care and aftercare?
A: Yes, Langley offers before-care and aftercare. In addition to the regular DCPS aftercare program, Langley partners with Springboard to ensure that there is enough room in aftercare for all students, and Springboard aftercare is offered on a full-time or drop-in basis.
Q: Why should I put Langley on my child's lottery list?
A: Langley uses a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that emphasizes exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Through studies, which are hands-on, project-based investigations, the curriculum helps teachers build children’s confidence, creativity and critical thinking skills and promote positive outcomes. Academic learning is important, but Langley strives for healthy development of the whole child. Using the groundbreaking Conscious Discipline program, educators empower children to regulate their emotions, communicate their feelings assertively and set and work toward their goals. Langley is a neighborhood school on the rise and is eager to welcome others into its happy school family.
