Langley Elementary PTO is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization of parents, teachers, and community members dedicated to support the educational experience at Langley Elementary and to make every Langley child's potential a reality.

There are four PTO committees helping coordinate key initiatives:

Fill out the PTO Membership Form here , pay your annual due, (suggested but not mandatory) and you will be added to the organization and to our google group email distribution list where we share important school information, PTO events, updates and ways to help the school family.
What we do
Langley has an active PTO which supports parent-teacher collaboration at events like Back to School Night, Winter Wonderland, Scholastic Book Fair and Summer Splash. The PTO also organizes community-building activities such as Fall Festival and the Make Some Noise fundraiser at Boundary Stone. With their help, we have the funds necessary to provide food at school events, rebuild and maintain our school garden, purchase school supplies, make facility improvements and much more.
During the school year, the PTO holds frequent potluck meetings to discuss upcoming events, review the budget and how the PTO is supporting the school. Check the school calendar to see the date of our next meeting. School leadership, teachers, enrichment and after school providers often attend to give updates. Parents and community members are always welcome.
We welcome volunteers who want to use their skills and resources to help our students succeed. Volunteers who work directly with students on a regular basis or have the potential to be alone with a student are required to complete the DCPS volunteer clearance process.
Volunteers are processed and fingerprinted on a walk-in basis Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and Fridays from 8 am - 3 pm. DCPS Central Office is located at 1200 First Street NE—10th floor, Washington, DC 20002, one block from the NOMA/Gallaudet (formerly New York Ave) Metro stop on the redline.
