Week 19 Message- Welcome Back!
I want to take this moment to say thank you to all of our families for a great first half to our school year. Our students are growing socially and academically at an incredible pace. We have continued to challenge our students with the new ECE curriculum, Creative Curriculum and social emotional program Conscious Discipline for all students. We cannot wait to see what is in store for our Tigers this spring! Thank you to our families for the continued support!
Cold Weather Recess: As long as the temperature is above freezing, we plan to have students outside for recess, so please make sure students are sent to school with coats, hats and gloves, as needed. If any winter apparel is needed, please let Ms. Staton know. Be sure to check the lost and found in the main entrance foyer and be sure to write your students’ names on coats and other winter apparel.
Langley Beautification Day: On Monday, January 15th we will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. by engaging in a service project for our school. We will be hosting about 70 volunteers from Playworks and the Monumental Sports and Entertainment Foundation. We will be painting our school friendly colors, creating murals, and designing bulletin boards to shout out our amazing students. We also welcome parents and community members to come join the fun. Hope you can make it!
Upcoming Events- Save the Date!
Family Engagement
Don’t forget to put the Winter Wonderland Family Night on your calendar! Follow the school leadership team on social media to keep up with the daily goings-on at Langley. Many of our teachers also have class Instagram pages going, be sure to check them out!
