Week 30- March 19, 2018
The cold winter weather has continued into March, please make sure your child has a coat everyday as we go out to recess each day as long as the temperatures is above 32 degrees. We hope you have a safe and festive spring break. We recommend reading to your child 20- 30 minutes a day from a book of your choice to encourage a love for reading! Remember, you can access all of our online programs Lexia and iReady from home or the local library. See login information below:

School Re-Design Lab
This February, our SEAD team applied to a unique opportunity with the new DCPS Re-Design Lab, only 10 schools were selected to participate from DCPS and we are thrilled our application was so well-recevied. Our team including Ms. Drumm, Ms. Jennings, Mr. Lien, Mr. Jefferson, Ms. Gunter, and Mr. O’Brien, will be working to re-design Langley to support all student and think “outside the box” to prepare our children for the fast-changing future and to meet our school’s mission. We are working with 2Revloutions and other DCPS schools to make changes so our schools work for all children. We will be interviewing staff, students, and families to help us with the redesign process.
Enrollment
We will be hosting a Saturday enrollment event; the school will be open on April 21st for parents to come in and enroll their Tigers. Please help Langley by enrolling early so we can secure more funding for our school and plan for next year.
Upcoming Events- Save the Date!
Wishing you well! - Principal Drumm & AP Jennings
