Week 24 Message
We are focusing on instruction for the last few months of school- small group instruction to make sure all of our students are met where they are and pushed to the next level and strong planning to make sure our whole group instruction matches the rigor needed in our standards. All teachers including our early childhood teachers receive half day planning this year to prepare for their upcoming units of study and collaborate with their team members. Ms. Baker, Ms. Jefferson, and our Literacy Lab tutors are conducting reading and math interventions as an extra push for our struggling students.
Enrollment
We are opening the school on Saturday, April 21st from 9am-12pm so families can come in and enroll for SY2018-19. We have had amazing turnout at both of our Open House events and are excited to welcome new Tiger families to Langley. Also on April 21st will be a Harry Thomas Sr. Rec Center Clean-up to give back to our community. Hope to see you there!
Attendance
We want our students here every day to learn academic and social emotional skills. Did you know that missing 2 days a month adds up to 18 days in a school year which means your child is marked chronically absent? Be sure to get your child to school daily.
