It is great for reading e-books or using learning tools on the internet. This device allows your student to enjoy e-books available free from DCPS School Libraries and the DC Public Library (see information below) as well as to learning tools via Clever. This device belongs to you and is for your family to keep. After completing the Quick Setup process shown below, if you have questions about the device, please use the Help settings at the top of the device under the Gear icon. Or visit the Amazon support website: www.amazon.com/contact-us Unfortunately, DCPS schools will not be able to answer setup or how to use questions for this device (please follow this guide). The Amazon Fire eReader will need access to an available WIFI resource (either in the home, nearby, or a DC Free Hotspot). If you need free WIFI, please consider contacting Comcast and signing up for the Internet Essentials program which is currently free for two months (1-855-846-8376). During the on-screen instructions for setup, parents will be asked who will use the device. Select the option to “Tap Here to Add a Child”.
